Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do you measure power and is it accurate?

For bikes that have computers, power is simply being extracted from the source; however for friction based bikes with no computer, power is calculated based on cadence and the amount of resistance on the flywheel.  Unless strain gauges or dynameters have been installed, power must always be calculated and even if there are slight differences between measured power and calculated power, the impact on the class is the same: a highly motivating and competitive environment.

2. Can you accommodate all bike models?

Right now we can accommodate the Keiser M3 (with bike computer) and all rod-driven (no cantilever or caliper style brakes) friction based bikes such as Star Trac, Schwinn and Lemond models.

3. How long does installation take?

This depends on the bike make and the model.  A full set up can take from a few hours to a day depending on the complexity of the installation and the number of bikes.

4. What does the gym or studio need to provide?

Installation of the flat panel TV or projection screen.

5. How much does the system cost?

This depends on the number of bikes you have and the type of package you choose

6. What is the maximum number of bikes that can be set up in one studio?

This is virtually limitless due to the flexibility of the wireless system.

7. How long does it take the instructor to enter in the class data?

Depending on how many people are in the class it should only take a few minutes.  A user-friendly entry screen requires the instructor to enter in the log in names for their class from the sign-in sheet.

8. How do you switch to team mode while the class is in progress?

When the instructor starts the class there will be an option appearing on the screen to switch to team mode. When team mode is selected, the screen will change to show only the teams racing with Power and RPM averaged by team.
